The print is made using the Giclee method. A Giclée Print is a digitally produced image on heavy weight art paper that has been produced on a computer driven ink-jet printer providing greater intensity and purity of colour than all other methods of printing.
The vintage maps we use vary from reproduction antique ordnance survey maps, London street plans from 1930 and international maps from 19th century atlases. Please be aware that sometimes exact locations or names do not feature on all maps as they may not have been built or discovered when the map was drawn. Some country names may have changed or specific locations may not have been built when the maps were drawn so to avoid disappointment please specify an area as well as a postcode when placing your order.
Please note that the designs and colours of the street maps of London differ from the maps we use of outside London as do the international maps. Please see product images for a selection of the different designs or request an example of the map on an enquiry before placing your order.
We have black or white painted wooden frames available; please specify the frame colour when ordering your print. To avoid breakages when shipping this item we use acrylic glazing in the frame which is gallery quality and is UV100 graded to protect the print underneath from direct sunlight.
